The Tape Agency is looking to recruit a PR Account Manager working across the agency’s beauty and lifestyle clients.

Role overview:

Drive and manage the effective day-to-day running of the clients and team delivering KPIs and focus goals for both clients and team.

The Role:

Reporting in to the Founder/CEO you will be the day-today contact for client liaison and media requests supported by a strong and ambitious junior team, covering but not limited to:

• Be always interested and interesting in our industry and the opportunities in front of you
• Be an active listener to our clients and the industry we serve and proactively share joy, opportunities and insights through social and industry listening
• Client liaison and counsel with day to day brand contacts
• Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business to deliver strategic and creative campaigns against briefs
• Provide considered counsel and feedback to clients on a day-to-day proactive basis
• Drive and lead client meetings. Present status updates in a professional and knowledgeable and always interested manner to include sharing agendas and notes following meetings or calls with timely actions
• Delivering and monitoring results in line with brand strategies
• Lead projects from briefing to presentation to full implementation and delivery
• Proactively pitch creative ideas to the client and company in a timely and well-thought out manner - showcasing alignment with the overall business/PR objectives and strategy
• Develop, where possible, relationships with other areas of our client’s business, outside of PR/Comms
• Generating story ideas and pitching proactively across the whole media landscape
• Maintaining existing and proactively forge new contacts across the media landscape
• Manage the day-to-day PR activity on assigned accounts ensuring KPIs on pitching, media meets, coverage goals and outreach are on track
• Manage team members’ development and support them in managing their workload and roles and responsibilities
• Support junior team members in their development of media relationships and industry knowledge
• Lead influencer outreach (paid and organic) across client portfolio
• Manage the Account Executive and PR Assistant ensuring all outreach, monitoring, reporting, sample/send outs, databases and work streams are running effectively
• Produce creative and engaging written press materials and content for clients and the agency
• Strong creative writing skills with attention to detail when it comes to spelling and grammar
• Manage the delivery of weekly and monthly reports to clients - with team roles and responsibilities established on a weekly basis
• Support the CEO/Founder in creating strategic and visually engaging new business proposals
• Constantly be building and expanding on media relationships and seeking out new opportunities to introduce the brand to new audiences
• Support the wider business in finance and billing process
• Manage budgeting and forecasting for events and activations keeping clear lines of approval for budgets with client and business
• Work closely with the finance team on expense management and raising any concerns, suggesting functional solutions to make efficiencies for both client and business

Experience Required:

• 3-4 years PR experience in a fast-paced press office, either an in-house, agency role or mix of both
• Excellent knowledge and relationships across media and influencer contacts
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and oral
• Experience working on strategy proposals and presentations
• You should also be a self-starter and team player with a strong initiative who feels comfortable working flexibly in a start-up environment
• Experience in the beauty industry is essential
