The Friday Agency is a full-service brand building communications agency that truly embodies "Friday feeling." Since our launch in July 2020, we have been representing some of the most dynamic, established, and emerging brands in the beauty, lifestyle, and wellness sectors.

We are looking for an ambitious, connected, creative, hardworking, and organized Account Manager with a minimum of 3 years of beauty communications experience to join our growing team. The chosen applicant will be responsible for managing a number of clients, providing client counsel, and devising stand-out strategies. This role is key within the agency, requiring strong organisational skills, excellent time management, and the ability to be a real team player.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management & Relations:
    • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients with the support of the Account Director.
    • Lead both internal and external client meetings and calls with confidence.
    • Establish, develop and maintain good client relations at all times.
    • Regularly update clients on activities and maintain ongoing contact.
    • Secure regular press and influencer coverage across all accounts.
    • Write quality, engaging media materials that identify key trends or creative feature angles
    • Orchestrate brainstorms for creative ideas.
    • Manage/assist on new product/brand launches ensuring mailing lists, press releases, and e-blasts are created to a high standard.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage and oversee work by the Account Executive and Press Assistant, delegating relevant tasks and providing guidance and support.
    • Lead team meetings, inspiring and motivating the team to collectively achieve client goals.
    • Monitor and assess junior team members’ performance and provide feedback to the Account Director.
    • Ensure all team admin duties are achieved in a responsible, timely, and professional manner.
  • Strategic & Creative Development:
    • Provide strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR and wider marketing campaigns.
    • Assist with strategy planning and implement 360 brand campaigns, partnerships, and events.
    • Develop creative feature ideas and pitches to ensure sustained client coverage.
    • Creatively look at mailers and come up with unique ways to engage with target audiences.
  • Media & Influencer Relations:
    • Liaise with media, content creators, and industry Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), securing regular meetings to drive and maintain strong relations.
    • Proactively build new relationships across press, influencers, makeup artists, and hair stylists.
    • Support with paid partnership work where relevant
    • Continuously source media coverage opportunities.
  • Event Management:
    • Work with the wider team to execute A* brand moments throughout the calendar year including; seasonal launches, NPD launches, Breakfasts/Lunch/Dinners and overnight stays and press trips
    • Post event provide regular updates to all key stakeholders from preparation to post-event wrap reports.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Oversee and support the compilation of weekly and monthly reports (on select clients) ensuring all key information is presented concisely and accurately and in line with brand KPI’s.
    • Analyse PR coverage and provide written reports to client where relevant.

 

We would love the chosen applicant to demonstrate:

  • Strong interest in the beauty and wellness industry with robust knowledge of trends and new brands.
  • Excellent communication skills - presentation, verbal, and written.
  • Passion for the media, including social media, and staying up-to-date with emerging influencers and the media landscape.
  • Flair for creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation.
  • Excellent contacts across beauty and lifestyle press.
  • Strong copywriting and marketing skills.
  • Commercially aware and business-savvy.
  • Good industry knowledge and experience in building influential networks.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and G Suite
  • Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and work in various environments.
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
