Account Manager - The Friday Agency:

We are in an exciting growth period and as the business continues to expand, we look forward to welcoming a superstar Account Manager. Currently, you will be working within a similar environment either in-house or agency and boast a minimum of four/five years relevant, proven experience, together with energy, ambition and an entrepreneurial growth mindset. Skills required include client management, strategy planning from conception to delivery, team management, team development and mentorship and a strong network of contacts. You will have an abundance of bold and engaging ideas to implement across large scale activations and always-on press office assets. Your passion for the beauty and wellness space is infinite and infectious. You are nimble, approachable, ambitious and looking to make your mark with the support of us - your Friday family.

Based in London and reporting to Account Director, you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Primary client lead with support from senior team as needed. You will lead all client comms and demonstrate a thorough understanding and management of agreed scope and expectations. Regular updates are paramount and you will communicate consistently as agreed.
  • Deliver high-quality coverage that communicates agreed products, experiences and services via press, broadcast and influencer coverage across all owned accounts.
  • Organise creative brainstorms with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client reporting and deliver accordingly.

Team Management:

  • Manage and oversee direct reports; Account Executive, Press Assistant and intern/s. Ability to delegate relevant tasks and provide consistent guidance and support. Lead with a mentorship mindset and kindness.
  • Lead team meetings, inspiring and motivating colleagues to collectively achieve client goals and beyond.
  • Regularly monitor and assess Account Executive and Press Assistant performance and provide feedback to the Account Director.
  • Ensure all team admin duties are achieved in a responsible, timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with Founder and Managing Director.

Strategic & Creative Development:

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients to support business, retail and Marcomms objectives.
  • Support strategy planning together with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Always-on 360-degree approach across brand campaigns, partnerships and events.
  • Use your imagination and creative writing skills to deliver, draft and edit engaging pitch and feature ideas, media materials and strategy collateral highlighting key trends and new angles. We love head-line grabbing, thumb stopping narratives that stand out to secure and sustain high-quality client coverage.
  • Manage and/or assist across new product and brand launches ensuring mailing lists, press releases, and e-blasts are created to a high standard. Media & Influencer Relations:
  • Relationships are key. You will consistently identify, nurture and establish a reputation and rapport with a wide pool of experts including media, content creators, and people of influence. These relationships will drive and sustain coverage, and glean gold-dust industry insights and data.
  • Support across paid partnership activity as/when required.
  • Continuously identify new coverage and brand awareness/exposure opportunities. Where can our clients be seen and stand out.

Event Management:

  • Work with the wider team to execute A* brand moments throughout the calendar year including; seasonal launches, NPD launches, overnight stays and press trips
  • Post event provide regular updates to all key stakeholders from preparation to post-event wrap reports.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Oversee and support the compilation of weekly and monthly reports as per client request. Ensure all key information is presented concisely and accurately and in line with brand guidelines.
  • Analyse PR coverage and provide written reports to client where relevant. We would love you to demonstrate:
  • Strong interest in the beauty and wellness industry with robust knowledge of industry trends and competitor brand activity.
  • Excellent communication skills - presentation, verbal, and written.
  • Excellent media and industry contacts. Ability to expand our ever-growing industry network to create new and impactful opportunities.
  • Flair for creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation.
  • Founder-led brand experience preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, G Suite. Understanding of social analytics tools preferred but not essential.
  • Highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines and an ability to balance creative intuition with commercial acumen.
  • References upon request.
  • UK Working Visa Essential
