The Stitch Fix Communications team is charged with bringing the story of Stitch Fix to life for all our audiences, from consumers to business press and investors to our own employees. We tell important, inspiring stories about our industry, our company, our leaders, and our clients—and we have fun doing it. We work closely with our executives; our marketing, merchandising, and data science counterparts; and our investor relations team to manage internal communications, make corporate announcements, launch new products, and tell brand stories. From media relations and speaking opportunities to internal company-wide meetings, we serve as Stitch Fix’s chief evangelists and storytellers. We’re a small but mighty team that is highly cross-functional, creative, driven, and motivated by challenge.

Stitch Fix is looking for a Communications Coordinator to work with our in-house team in our London Office, reporting to the Head of Communications in the UK. This is initially a 6 month freelance opportunity within a fun and lively central London office, with opportunity to learn within a tech-based, exciting personalised fashion retail concept.

Key responsibilities include:  

• Day-to-day assistance and support to the Head of Communications on both internal and external communications.
• Support consumer comms team (agency) by providing assets for outreach, scheduling calls & meetings.
• Support the Head of Communication with event planning and execution and organisation of press trips and press events (gift cards, samples, press gifts, thank you’s, etc.)
• Manage press samples, press shipments, press assets and media coverage reports and newsroom and internal comms media updates
• Day-to-day administrative duties as needed; Support executive visits from the US with restaurant reservations, appointments and scheduling. Liaise with US PA’s on scheduling.
• Manage and oversee media databases.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate with some experience in PR/MKTG/Communications.
• Passionate about fashion / retail and an understanding of the UK media landscape, especially consumer media.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail and initiative is a MUST.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise projects on a day-to-day basis.
• Good team-player, results-driven, proactive and highly motivated.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, ideally with some knowledge of Photoshop.
• Eager to learn and willingness to get ‘stuck-in’. Should demonstrate passion and curiosity for working at Stitch Fix.
