The Role

The PR Manager is responsible for building exceptional relationships with key stakeholders and media. He/she/they will work the brand Founder and Group Director to develop a clear communications strategy that builds the brands profile in the UK and internationally. He/she/they will be a skincare obsessed, creative and have extensive media contacts in the traditional and digital media landscape. 

Responsibilities 

• Work with the Founder, Group Director and Marketing Manager to create a world class PR strategy. 
• Develop comprehensive global media lists including key global trade and influencer contacts.
• Ensure we develop strong relationships with media across relevant categories.
• Full responsibility of press activity, including tracking and managing features, developing proactive pitches, creating virtual and experiential events and shaping editorial ideas. 
• Write and edit high quality press releases, driving the process through to follow-ups.
• Set and deliver on key PR metrics. Regularly review and suggest improvements to current reporting metrics based on industry best practice.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Brand Manager (acting Social Media Coordinator)  on wide scale Skin Rocks social campaigns. 
• Work with the E-Comm Manager to measure the success of content and affiliate campaigns to ensure strategic decisions are made for future campaigns.
• Prepare productive PR and marketing analysis reports with key learnings, insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience in PR (in-house or agency).
• Must have strong beauty and lifestyle media relationships. 
• Impeccable attention to detail.  
• Experience within a team environment – you will be collaborating with everyone in the team to meet deadlines and develop campaigns. 
• Must be a critical thinker and possess proven problem-solving skills.
• Overall social knowledge of platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Tik Tok and more. 
• Previous knowledge of social media analytics and scheduling software (Sprout Social, Databox, Google Analytics, Facebook/Twitter Insights, etc.) would be welcome.
