The Role
Scamp & Dude is looking for an energetic, collaborative, and enthusiastic PR & Social Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the press office and social communications.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone wanting to work in retail and communications, gain hands-on experience within a social-first brand, and understand how PR, Marketing and social integrate in daily brand activations.
The role operates on a hybrid working model — a minimum of 2 days per week at our Head Office in Marlow, one of which must be a Wednesday. Flexibility to attend on additional days as business needs require.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Head of PR with daily press office operations — including media sends, coverage tracking and evaluation, event coordination, and influencer engagement
- Support the Head of PR with influencer mailers and partnership briefs
- Review consumer publications, digital platforms and social media for brand coverage and relevant retail news
- Work with the Head of PR on the creation and execution of PR activations that highlight our fashion collections and charitable initiatives
- Coordinate sample rails, media sends and returns
- Manage the PR and image database; share regular brand and new product updates with target publications and creators to drive editorial placement
- Liaise with internal teams — Buying, Creative, Social, Marketing & Retail — to ensure the smooth running of the press office
- Always-on approach to researching brand-relevant influencers and tastemakers
- Support the set-up and attend monthly IG Lives (note: these typically take place in the evenings)
- Support the Social Media Executive with regular content creation and content calendar planning
- Support sample coordination for shoots — both ecommerce and campaign
- Attend monthly ecommerce shoots in London to support with BTS content and sample coordination
- Support brand and store events and activations as required
- Proactively participate in marketing and social team brainstorms
- Raise POs and maintain the budget tracker
Who We're Looking For
- A proactive interest in the UK fashion and retail industry
- Enthusiasm and a motivated attitude to learn and engage
- A passion for PR and social with a strong understanding of the influencer landscape, Instagram, and TikTok
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
