The role
The purpose of the Communications and Social Assistant is to aid further growth in our brand awareness and personality through our social and digital channels, and through press and influencer opportunities, with creative and on-trend ideas. 

There will be opportunities to develop your creative sense and understanding of the brand’s personality, positioning and tone of voice, digital marketing, and product development.  You will work in a small team and there are significant opportunities for development in a wide and varied role.

Reporting to: Head of Global Digital & E-Commerce, plus dotted line report to Global PR Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

PR

  • Write press releases and trend reports alongside the PR manager.
  • Support the PR manager with ad hoc PR tasks and send-outs.
  • Research and propose on trend ideas for press trend reports to the PR manager.
  • Research SEO terms and highly searched topics for new launches and promotions, to lead to key evergreen articles which P&R could pitch to be included in.
  • Work with PR manager to maintain and develop press contacts lists for UK and international.
  • Create monthly report summarising activity across press, social and influencers, in the UK and internationally.
  • Support the PR Manager & Global Marketing Manager with the planning and execution of all PR events.
  • Update the PR tracker on a weekly basis.
  • Monitor competitors as part of all analysis. 

Influencers

  • Research and build relationships with relevant influencers in both the UK and internationally.
  • Own and add to the influencer database for P&R, summarising work done and rates confirmed, as well as an influencer hitlist for future opportunities.
  • Understand influencer activities and propose ideas of how P&R could authentically work with them for key launches.
  • Assist with influencer briefings.
  • Report on the success of influencer partnerships. 
  • Create monthly reports for influencer activity.
  • Ensure all influencer activity for international markets is confirmed with the global team and on brand if not led by global.
  • Support the Global PR Manager with the planning and execution of all influencer & press events.

Social Media

  • Conduct reviews of all P&R current activity on all social platforms (IG, FB, YT and other in future such as TikTok) and determine key ideas and strategies to develop the brand further.
  • Execute daily social posts (for static, GIF, video, and stories) across all channels, in line with the content calendar developed by the Digital Assistant Manager, with approval from the Head of Digital.
  • Continually monitor social activities of own content and competitive brands to assess most engaging, effective content moving forwards. 
  • Brief the creative team for specific social assets required to engage the P&R community, with supporting data, and attend shoots as and when required.
  • Create socials posts and assets using platform creative tools (eg IG stories) or with Adobe Creative Suite if familiar
  • Write all copy, with approval from the Head of Digital, for all organic social assets.
  • Onboard social media partnerships and other data capture strategies, supporting the Global Marketing Manager.
  • Lead community engagement on our social channels, answering questions that are sent on our social platforms, replying to comments, and generally engaging our audiences.
  • Become a key part of all marketing and digital brainstorming sessions.  

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A creative and aesthetic sensibility to be able to develop an instinct for the brand and how it must be presented and communicated.
  • An interest in and talent for the written word to be able to direct long-form and short-form copywriting – impeccable grammar and attention to detail, able to grasp the brand’s tone of voice.
  • Attention to detail is paramount as this role involves the creation and dissemination of branded materials.  Must be numerate and articulate, likely with first language/native English.
  • Able to take charge of projects, communicate effectively and be accountable for delivery.
  • Able to manage your workload independently, prioritise, and ensure clarity in communication with external parties.
  • Efficient and hard working with sleeves rolled up mentality and be able to think creatively to deliver with small budgets and timescales.
  • Commercially astute with brilliant analytic skills.
  • Experience in google analytics, Facebook ads manager and other analytic sources preferred but not required by the business as training will be given.

Hours and Location
Full-time, currently a work-from- home role, with the plan to work at our office in Central London when safe to do so.
