Omorovicza is a fast growing (50% annually), profitable, family run modern beauty brand looking for tenacious, entrepreneurial and fun-loving colleagues to join our expanding team.

BACKGROUND:

The Omorovicza journey begins over 2,000 years ago, when the healing properties of Hungary’s thermal waters were discovered, and the first thermal baths were built.

The secret to why Hungarian thermal waters have such remarkable healing properties lies in the unique geological features of the region. Here the earth’s crust is thinner, so waters absorb beneficial minerals more effectively as they journey to the surface.

Miraculous healings led to the building of 1,000 thermal baths in Hungary, 100 in Budapest alone.

It was in Budapest, in the 1800’s, that the Omorovicza family built a beautiful thermal bath the Rácz Fürdo, on the site of an Ottoman bath, itself built in the 1560s on a medieval healing spring renowned for its curative properties.

And it was at the Racz that Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza first observed the revitalising effect of the healing waters on their skin.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute the PR strategy for Omorovicza
• Manage the ongoing PR for Omorovicza within the UK. Liaise with journalists and bloggers on a daily basis and secure all press coverage for the brand online through print and online outlets.
• Proactively form and manage relationships with key members of press to help raise the profile of the brand.
• Work with Marketing Director to manage PR Agencies based in USA, Canada and Germany.
• Manage and oversee all events including pop up spas, press launches and meet the founder events.
• Distribute global press coverage to all key stake holders within the business
• Develop editorial stories and features to communicate key products, stories and exclusive collaborations to a global audience
• Generate and implement initiatives to raise brand awareness across the country in line with the global marketing strategy.
• Develop and oversee existing brand partnerships (English National Ballet, New York City Ballet, Frieze, Fashion Houses, Central St Martins)
• Monitor brand placement and exposure on the media and ensure all communications are aligned with brand positioning and values
• Monitor all daily/weekly/monthly PR activity and provide targets for the team to work against and to provide a comparison on previous week/month/year
• Work closely with the other business channels within the company to ensure the promotion calendar is thoroughly planned and executed in good time
• Attend sales meetings and proactively follow sales and sell through reports each week and identify weak areas with retail and merchandising
• Act as frontline representative for the company for incoming media inquiries and select outreach efforts
• Identify opportunities for the brand and implement bespoke initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience working either in house or with an Agency in a Public Relations position.
• Luxury background and established media relationships required.
• Knowledge and understanding of the cosmetic / skincare industry preferred
• Independent self-starter with the ability to initiate and lead without requiring day to day guidance.
• Innovative and creative thinker able to develop new ways to tell the brand and company's story.
• Strong relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven record of successful press relationships and ability to sustain and nurture media and industry influencer relations.
• Able to successfully work with senior executives and perform in both formal and informal environments.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
• Ability to analyse and manage a budget
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and drive timelines
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, committed, tenacious and goal-oriented
• Energetic, passionate and flexible spirit
• Entrepreneurial flair and drive combined with a structured and analytical approach
• A team player and developer, providing constructive interpersonal relationships within the business
• High degree of integrity
• An interest in cosmetics / skincare would be advantageous
• An enthusiastic outlook, charismatic and with a good sense of humour
