Company / Brand / Product
- Assisting in building Gerrard International’s profile, as well as individual brand profiles
- Assisting in the effective communication of all marketing related information both in-house and externally
Exhibitions and events
- Creating and assisting in production and distribution of all marketing materials including online ‘ezone’ presence for trade exhibitions
- Assisting in planning and executing brand presence at trade and consumer events, attending where necessary
- Assist in maximising exposure pre and post event and evaluating success
Advertising
- Ensuring advertising deadlines are met and content is received and supplied
- Creating and assisting in production of trade and consumer advertising
- Maintaining trade advertising calendar
Artwork, design and print
- Building relationships and liaising with In-house Creatives and printers.
- Writing artwork briefs for the designers based on direction given by Brand Manager.
- Assisting in the maintenance of a fully comprehensive image library of old, existing and new brand and brand related images
- Gathering quotes for production, managing timely delivery and organising distribution
- Requesting Purchase Orders as necessary
- Assisting in the creation and updating of all marketing materials including those for international distributors
Websites
- Working with the IT support team and E-commerce manager to provide all required assets
- Assisting in development of new website projects
Project Management
- Assisting in ensuring that all ensuing projects are completed within the given timescale and within a given budget
In-house communications
- Assisting in the effective communication of all marketing related information in-house
New launches / Promotions
- Assisting in the running of an effective brand promotional calendar
- Assisting in the communication and distribution of marketing materials to third parties and in-house
- Proofreading all required materials
- Assisting in the management of the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, eshots and flyers - this can involve writing and proofreading copy, liaising with designers and printers and adapting to all required formats
Merchandising
- Assisting in management and upgrades of existing merchandising units and creation of new merchandising units
- Maintaining all merchandising documents and assisting in creation of new merchandising communications
Trade / Consumer Newsletter
- Assisting in creating and producing periodic newsletters and beauty bulletins, monitor results
Research
- Carrying out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness
- Assisting in the continual monitoring of all competitor activity in order to gain a competitive edge
PR & Social Media
- Assisting the PR team where necessary
- Identifying opportunities in both trade and consumer press
- Helping to maximise on all editorial content
- Writing, proofing and distribution of press releases
- Creation of Social Media content plans for Mii
- Exploring new Social Media Channels and how they can be best utilised
General Duties
- Helping to support the Brand Manager, Marketing Team, Salesteam and other colleagues
- Creating sales reports, both consumer website and overall sales. Reporting on MOM sales and YOY sales plus how any new launches/promotions and performing against previous launches/promotions.
- Creating stock code requests for all new SKUs and promotion requests for all promos.
- Filling in stock extra info on dimensions for new launches
- Helping with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns
- Writing and proofreading marketing copy for both online and print campaigns as well as new product launches
- Assisting in the creation of training material such as training manuals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
You must have a love of beauty products.
