We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our social growth in the UK market. Role Overview:
You will be the brand’s social lead for the UK—owning strategy, content, engagement, and growth across key platforms. With an eye for trends and a heart for community, you’ll bring Mario Badescu’s signature charm and skincare expertise to life for a new audience. A key focus? Building a UK social presence—particularly on Instagram and TikTok—that rivals the reach, engagement, and cultural impact of our US channels. You’ll help take a legacy brand and make it feel fresh, relevant, and locally loved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a UK-focused social media strategy that aligns with global brand guidelines and regional growth targets.
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging, on-brand content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Lead on creative ideation and execution for social-first campaigns, from concept through to posting.
- Manage and activate competitions and partnerships with complementary UK-based brands to grow reach and engagement.
- Capture content in-house (as needed) and brief photographers, videographers, and creators for campaign and always-on imagery.
- Localize global campaigns while ideating UK-specific content moments that resonate culturally and seasonally.
- Foster and manage our UK social community—monitor conversations, reply to DMs and comments in a timely, thoughtful way, and ensure a consistent brand voice across all interactions.
- Act as the front line of our brand on social, responding to customer inquiries, skincare questions, and brand mentions with care, clarity, and personality.
- Encourage and amplify authentic UGC, reviews, and customer stories to build advocacy and trust.
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, marketing, PR, and retail) to align on launches, campaigns, and brand moments.
- Track KPIs, report on performance, and optimize based on content insights and platform trends.
- Stay culturally plugged in—monitoring UK skincare trends, pop culture, and the competitive landscape to keep the brand relevant and resonant.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of experience managing social media for a consumer brand—beauty, skincare, or wellness strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in growing engaged communities, especially on Instagram and TikTok.
- Deep knowledge of UK social media culture and digital trends.
- Strong copywriting and visual communication skills.
- Comfortable producing content and leading creative direction across formats.
- Proficiency with tools like Later, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, etc.
- A passion for skincare and a natural ability to speak to our products in a relatable, educational, and fun tone.
- Confident self-starter with strong organisation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience managing competitions or brand collaborations from end to end.
- Knowledge of UK retail landscape and how social can support omnichannel efforts.
- Familiarity with paid social and content amplification strategies.
