A great opportunity to join a dynamic and highly desirable international beauty company in a newly created role of PR & Digital Engagement Officer. This role will co-ordinate the day-to-day running of the PR team by executing strategies, product launches, events and digital outreach activities for both L’OCCITANE and Erborian. Working with two job-sharing Group PR & Communications Managers, and line managing the PR Intern, the successful candidate will drive both brand’s equity in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and contribute to the UK PR and digital strategy for both L’OCCITANE and Erborian brands
  • Provide daily support to the Group PR & Comms Managers in executing the PR strategy and all media outreach initiatives; organising events and press trips, answering press queries, proactively pitching product features, attending press/influencer/agent appointments, maximising placement opportunities and building brand awareness
  • Secure regular coverage across all digital and social platforms, ensuring a substantial year on year increase
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key press & influencer contacts across all media channels
  • Maintain the operational smooth running of the press office and oversee the day-to-day work of the PR intern
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Digital team to ensure a 360 approach to all PR & Influencer activities
  • Be the team expert in Digital, keeping well informed of social opportunities, channels, influencers, innovations and competitors
  • Work with the Group PR Managers to prepare and share meaningful evaluation reports
  • Provide integral support to the Communications department, including owning and overseeing key internal tracking systems, reporting and budget management
  • Help drive the L’OCCITANE UK Foundation initiatives & charity committee efforts

The successful candidate will be highly organised, responsible, mature and results-driven with an excellent network of contacts within the industry. Minimum three years’ experience working in Beauty PR (in house or agency), with excellent interpersonal skills, strong creativity with an eye for detail. Competent in PowerPoint, Excel, Office, Word, Outlook, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and helpful team player. The ability to self-start, be proactive and confidently work autonomously is important, as is a passion for natural beauty.
