SUMMARY

Located at the agency offices in East London, this role is the team lead within a boutique communications and entertainment marketing company run by the founder and director Ivana Giachino, which this role reports in to. As Account Manager, this candidate will have second to none contacts across the industry, a creative and positive attitude, brilliant client facing rapport and excel in a fast paced and demanding environment. The role is suited to a super organiser that can work collaboratively, delegate to and mentor the junior team members.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Lead the day to day running of all agency accounts, planning, pre-empting and structuring the team tasks accordingly.
  • Creation of seasonal strategies in response to client briefs, working closely with the founder to tailor these appropriately.
  • Focus on delivering clear KPI’s to the client based on seasonal strategies.
  • Pinpoint and strive for opportunities to maximise share of voice for accounts, keeping up to date with industry news, cultural moments and relevant developments.
  • Nurture, develop and maintain relationships across the media and industry spectrum to benefit client reputation and positioning.
  • Talent forecasting and research people of influence especially in view of dressing, develop the company database to meet the ever changing client demands and KPI’s.
  • Represent accounts at all times at events, activations and appointments.
  • Lead on planning the weekly, monthly and seasonal activities for the team to meet the needs and expectations of the client.
  • Evaluate and measure success to drive results forward and provide direction and focus on a week to week and day to day basis for the team.
  • Lead by example, train and mentor the junior team members to support their development.

DAY TO DAY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop seasonal communications strategies for each client and ensure the effective delivery of those objectives, communicating down to the junior team on their responsibilities and objectives to keep focused.
  • Develop planning targets for the team to meet the needs and expectations of the client remit.
  • Pinpoint opportunities to expand awareness, relationships and share of voice for all brands across all designated channels, including relationships with tastemakers, influencers and celebrities.
  • Educate the industry on represented clients and strive to continually elevate their positioning within the market utilising all pre-approved target media channels available.
  • Focus on the long form, top level profile and feature pitching for each client to meet the strategy outlines for each season.
  • Focus on the senior level press and agents for pitching for each client to meet the strategy outlines for each season.
  • Work closely with Account Manager and team to ensure sell in of all product pitching is met and delivered in line with the strategy and monthly targets.
  • Lead on timely delivery of all reports, coverage and updates both to clients where required and regularly to the Director to ensure effective communication.
  • Organise and implement events, shows and press days as needed, as the lead for these ensuring attention to detail, taking full responsibility for the final outcome.
  • Pinpoint and develop strategies for optimising VIP relationships and opportunities.
  • Host, meet and greet and take care of top tier press at shows, events and any other client activations where attendance is expected.
  • Strive to constantly improve and adapt strategies to meet the changing needs of clients. Work in a proactive way to achieve above and beyond the expected results.
  • Represent each client appropriately as a steward and representative of their image.
  • Stay ahead of industry news and developments to keep all accounts strategies relevant.
  • Oversee monthly, weekly and daily media alert planning, design and release of media alerts in line with the seasonal strategies, editorial and cultural calendars.
  • Oversee the effective and accurate delivery of all databases which are managed by the junior team, ensuring clarity of systems, responsibilities and delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure regular and effective communication both up to leadership tand to the junior teams, ensuring all shared documents are updated in real time and handovers are managed seamlessly.
  • Effectively delegate to the junior team to deliver results. Mentor and manage the team to support and educate them in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Oversee the efficient running of the office, sample management, inventory, supplies and internal systems.
  • Any additional duties as required by the company.
  • Extended hours and days may be required as part of the role.
