Role Overview:

You will be working on the Living Proof haircare brand to implement the PR and Influencer strategies, driving brand awareness and sales via print, digital and social platforms.

Reporting into the Communications Director and supported by a Communications Assistant, this role requires a proactive and creative approach to coverage generation and a passion for haircare.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead press and influencer strategies and activations to generate maximum coverage and meet KPIs for product launches and hero products across all media and social platforms.
• Have strong relationships, and meet regularly with, press and influencers to maintain relationships and build new ones, supporting editorial and social coverage generation.
• Develop new relationships with influencers across multiple communities, as well as targeting disruptive categories to bring the brand to new audiences.
• Strong knowledge of content and influencers across tier levels who perform on social platforms, in particular: Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Oversee the onboarding and retention strategy of all influencers.
• Proactively pitch creative editorial ideas, tapping into data and trends.
• Creatively use cultural moments/social media trends to generate organic influencer coverage.
• Virtual and experiential event management.
• Manage campaign and activity calendars to plan, track and execute work timely and efficiently.
• Work closely, collaboratively, and creatively with the global and local marketing and digital teams.
• Work with internal teams including Supply Chain and Finance, plus, collaboratively with the wider Unilever Prestige HUB Communications team (Murad, Kate Somerville and Tatcha)
• Budget management.
• Managing and mentoring the Communications Assistant.

What we’re looking for:

An experienced beauty PR/Communications Manager who is passionate about the beauty and haircare industry. You’ll have a network of strong beauty press contacts and established relationships with influencers across multiple communities and tier levels. You’re a team player who is brilliantly organised with great attention to detail. You’ll be brimming with creative ideas, have budget and event experience, taking pride and joy in your work. Ideally with experience, or an interest in, mentoring and managing team members. We’re looking for someone to deliver quality coverage conversion through hero products and NPD moments. The person should love pitching and jumping on social media trends/cultural moments to generate coverage across press and social media platforms. An advantage if you’re used to working with platforms such as Tribe Dynamics and Cision (or similar).
