Liberty have a truly amazing opportunity for a beauty obsessed Press Officer to join their Communications Team! Reporting into the Head of Communications, you will create and deliver a holistic communication programme to promote and reaffirm Liberty London as the leading destination for beauty; enhancing the profile of the beauty hall, brands and treatment rooms.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with Head of Brand Communications to set targets and clear objectives for all activity
• Develop relationships with and proactively manage core media contacts
• Ensure all information leaving the Press Office is to the required standard, on-brand and approved
• Ensure regular communication with selected press on all newsworthy activity within the media
• Ensure all PR/media coverage is planned and reported weekly to key personnel
• Work closely with Head of Brand Communications, Senior Management, Buyers and Social Media Managers on beauty initiatives including new products/ranges, store improvements and promotional events
• Compile product/brand information from suppliers, designers and PR companies
• Plan and write press releases to achieve tactical and strategic goals
• Organise relevant press and in-store events working with Marketing, Buying, Retail and social teams
• Direct Line Manager to a Press Assistant

Desired Skills and Experience

• Solid understanding of Liberty London, its competitors and the beauty industry.
• Excellent black book of media contacts
• 3-4 years’ experience within a skincare/beauty industry
• Superior communication skills able to writing effective press releases and pitch feature stories
• Ability to commercially evaluate press coverage against industry standards
• Ability to effectively network and retain good contacts throughout the media industry
