Legology Job - Community and Social Media Executive

Overview of the role

Legology, the ultimate dedicated leg care brand founded by award-winning beauty writer and ex-Telegraph columnist Kate Shapland, inspires positivity and faithful advocacy through its strong feelgood vibe and high performance products. We want to maximise the brand’s personality, reach and advocacy by developing customer engagement and its social community.

We are looking for a motivated, creative social native expert with superior editorial sense to oversee the brand’s digital/social platforms and develop its omni channel potential. You will need to be able to balance an analytical approach to social media and its impact on ROI with excellent content writing skills and an ability to talk to our customer in the Legology voice to build relationships and strategies that will capture and retain audience attention. This role will work with our Digital and PR Managers and report to our Creative Director.

Key responsibilities

Earned Channels:

  • Developing and executing a communications strategy across the digital community and building advocacy with influencers and customers
  • Responsible for managing customer, media and influencer social relationships
  • Responsible for identifying new and relevant influencers
  • Working with PR for paid media and influencer activity
  • Responsible for driving brand engagement across all channels and delivering results in line with brand KPI’s

Owned Channels:

  •  Responsible for co-developing (with Digital Manager, PR and Creative Director) and leading the strategy of owned channels, digital engagement and communications
  • Owning the brand content calendar and ensuring relevant and timely content creation across all platforms including website/blog, Facebook forum and podcasts
  • Managing the content creation across all social platforms including Facebook forum, site blog and podcasts
  • -Working alongside the Digital Manager and PR on paid amplification.  Be consulted and feed into CRM and SEO campaigns
  • Responsible for managing legal guidelines of owned channels alongside the Digital Manager (including competitions, giveaways, reviews, sampling, members club etc)

The person

  • Excellent writing skills and proven experience in digital and editorial environments (5 years minimum) and strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised with good oral communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Social media native with a deep understanding of Instagram in particular
  • Independent, pro-active, a creative thinker with a positive, self-starter attitude and readiness to be hands on as part of a small ambitious team
  • Experience in working across brand social channels and content creation for beauty
  • Solid network of contacts in traditional print, digital and influencer media
