Overview of Role: 

We are growing our Communications team and bringing PR for Kate Somerville in-house. This newly- created role will therefore implement the PR and Influencer strategy for the brand, driving brand awareness and sales via print, digital and social platforms. Reporting into the Communications Director this is a busy role requiring a proactive and creative approach to coverage generation.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Generating maximum coverage, meeting KPIs for product launches across all media and social platforms
• Media and Influencer relations: meeting regularly (# TBC) with press and influencers to maintain relationships and create new ones, supporting editorial and organic social coverage generation
• Develop new relationships with influencers across beauty and associated lifestyle categories, as well as targeting disruptive categories to bring the brand to new audiences
• Proactively pitch creative and trend-led editorial ideas
• Virtual and experiential event management
• Managing the campaign and activity calendars to plan, track and execute work in a timely and efficient manner
• Responsible for delivering coverage reports and internal presentations
• Responsible for analysing results and competitors via media platforms such as Kantar, Cision, MMI and Tribe Dynamics
• Creating press and influencer collateral and launch boxes with the Design team or global team
• Sourcing brand partners to collaborate with on launches/core focuses
• Work closely, collaboratively, and creatively with the global and local marketing teams on NPD launches and influencer partnerships
• Forge relationships and meet regularly with internal teams including Marketing, Education, Supply Chain and Finance
• Represent the team at Town Halls and brand meetings
• Budget management
• Managing the workloads of team members

What we are looking for:

An experienced beauty PR/Comms Manager who is a team player and loves the beauty industry. Experience with prestige beauty brands is an advantage. You will have strong senior beauty press contacts and great relationships with both established and up-and-coming beauty and lifestyle influencers. Being brilliantly organised with high standards, you’ll be brimming with creative ideas, have budget and event experience, taking pride and joy in your work. Ideally with experience, or an interest in, mentoring and managing team members. You’ll be results driven with strong proof-reading skills and great attention to detail.
