Harper’s Bazaar Arabia - Editorial Producer (Dubai)

ITP Media Group is looking for an ambitious and talented Editorial Producer, to be responsible for all editorial production and support across all Harper’s Bazaar Arabia platforms and brand extensions, including but not limited to HBA, Bride, Qatar, Junior, Best Dressed and contributing to digital and social media. The position will report to the Editor in Chief.

Key responsibilities:

  • Producing, managing and planning photo shoots to budget
  • Sourcing freelance photographers, HMU, stylists and negotiating prices
  • Sourcing locations across the GCC and internationally
  • Arranging all shoot logistics
  • Prop sourcing and styling
  • Conceiving and styling still life images
  • Creating call sheets and being the point of contact for crew
  • Aiding fashion team with moodboard creation
  • Picture editing
  • Budget admin support
  • Planning, booking, directing, editing, compiling and captioning Flash pages
  • Providing digital coverage for people featured in the magazine (creating and sending watermarked images and PDFs for use on social) and managing those communications and hashtags
  • Identifying editorial opportunities across the GCC
  • Support Art Director with requesting, managing and downloading syndicated material and managing Atlas
  • Support fashion team on credits, captions and prices
  • Support fashion team on Stockists
  • Manage CRM flatplan
  • Write Contents pages
  • Manage back issues library
  • Manage digital product image library
  • Recruit and manage interns as required
  • Work across all HB products, supplements and events as required

 

Skills required:

  • Work well under pressure and still able to think creatively whilst within brand guidelines
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong administrative skills with a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain high attention to detail
  • Incredibly sensitive to and in-tune with the culture and specific requirements presented by this market
  • A very good understanding of media and the media market place, but not defined by it, and most definitely able to think outside its traditional parameters
  • The understanding that to survive in the current market, Harper’s Bazaar should be perceived as a brand that produces multiple content products and platforms, rather than simply a magazine supported by website

An individual who is accountable, socially smart and extremely organised with high attention to detail, someone who uses their own initiative and loves to communicate as part of a team. Someone who will immerse themselves in to the Bazaar brand guidelines instantly.

An understanding of the broader media landscape is essential, both as a consumer and professionally. Being internationally savvy, having a creative mind, a passion for communications, marketing and advertising, and an understanding of the luxury sector are all key contributors to being part of the Harper’s Bazaar team. They must be flexible and have a can-do, positive attitude, which shows they are respectful, responsible and dedicated.

 

Additional information:

Candidates should appreciate that the role is Dubai and office based however travel on shoots and projects may be required. Official hours are 9:00am – 6:00pm however out of hours work is expected on occasion, making up for quieter periods.

We are looking for someone with a graduate qualification plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The position is located at ITP Head Office, Dubai Media City.
