RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Personal Attributes:

• 2-3 years of agency experience (ideally in beauty PR).
• A strong understanding of the beauty industry and media landscape.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media and influencers.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
• Resourceful and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
• A keen interest in current affairs and trends.
• Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and PR analytics tools (e.g., Cision, Tribe Dynamics, Traackr, Exploding Topics, Google Analytics, Diary Directory).
• A desire for continuous learning and professional development.

   

Media Relations & Influencer Engagement:

• Cultivate and expand relationships with key beauty journalists, influencers, and media outlets.
• Secure high-quality media coverage through proactive pitching and targeted outreach.
• Develop compelling press materials, including press releases and media lists.
• Manage and optimise earned and paid influencer partnerships.
• Oversee product seeding programs, track results, and provide ROI analysis to clients.
• Attend media appointments to build rapport and identify coverage opportunities.
• Support junior team members in maintaining accurate media databases and trackers.

   

Client Management:

• Contribute to the development of strategic annual PR plans that align with client business goals.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute PR plan elements (e.g., launches, press trips) to a high standard, within deadlines and budgets.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic counsel and managing expectations.
• Prepare and present insightful progress reports in client meetings.
• Lead the planning and execution of successful events.
• Keep the team informed of project progress and proactively address any challenges.
• Edit and proofread press materials for junior team members.
• Support junior team members in meeting coverage report deadlines.

   

Financial Results:

• Develop a strong understanding of client budgets (fees and expenses).
• Create accurate budgets for specific activities, considering staff hours, costs, and timelines.
• Select and manage suppliers, reviewing terms and making contractual recommendations.
• Ensure proper PO management.

   

Team and Self Management:

• Contribute creative and valuable ideas in brainstorms and team meetings.
• Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work.
• Keep managers informed of workload, priorities, and deadlines.
• Prioritise tasks effectively and manage junior team members to maximize productivity.
