Good Housekeeping is Britain's biggest selling lifestyle magazine. At the Institute, our beauty and haircare labs have state-of-the-art equipment to assess product claims, meaning our reviews have a scientific basis.
We are looking for graduates who have a Cosmetic Science background who would feel confident with using beauty testing equipment, and have good communication and analytical skills. You will work with other members from the beauty team to test products that include skincare, hair care, nail care, colour cosmetics and beauty electricals for editorial purposes, commercial projects and digital offering. You will also carry out research into consumer issues when required. This role is perfect for someone who has interest in cosmetic science and product evaluation. It would be ideal if they have experience with using the corneometer, cutometer, sebumeter, VISIA (facial image analysis) or Diastron (Hair switch evaluation). But if you’re also able to demonstrate testing skills that would be great, but we’re happy to train you.
Please note, this is not considered to be a journalist role, it is a practical and analytical role, which involves testing and reviewing a range of beauty products on a daily basis.
