GLOSSYBOX is a global success with over 6 million boxes shipped to date to over 10 different countries including the UK, USA, Germany and most recently, Canada. The beauty box reaches more than 200,000 subscribers each month worldwide and has partnered with over 600 international brands.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Head of Sales to join the world’s leading global beauty subscription box, GLOSSYBOX.

POSITION PURPOSE

The HOS is a senior management role, which will work closely with the MD and lead the sales team. Their main function is to ensure sales KPIS are met each month for both the monthly GLOSSYBOX and pioneer limited edition partnerships.

They must have a significant contact base of beauty brands, and be a natural networker who easily builds relationships with existing and potential beauty brands by phone, and face-to-face meetings, naturally selling our innovative sampling concept.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Monthly Box Management:

  • Procurement of a high level of product samples month on month ensuring our monthly sampling KPIS and targets are met
  • Work against tight monthly operational deadlines ensuring the box is closed on time
  • Develop monthly box themes and storytelling for the year
  • Create a bespoke service plan for each brand placement, ensuring their goals and objectives for the campaign are met and ensuring that the project has been correctly briefed to the Marketing Team via the Brand Campaign Manager
  • Work with the Brand Campaign Manager to ensure all fulfilment information, images, text etc. are received from the brands in time and are ready for product cards and warehouse delivery
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Creative team to ensure high quality campaigns and visuals are developed for brand partners, including (but not limited to) artwork, social media posts and newsletters
  • Creating accurate legal contracts for brand partners and ensuring these are signed and received prior to product cards printed and products are received in the warehouse.

Relationship Building:

  • Continuously pitching to new and existing beauty brand leads to be part of our innovative beauty sampling box, including accessing the best way to approach that brand to ensure a partnership is formed
  • Work on developing limited edition boxes and co-branded collaborations
  • Develop pitch presentations and other required material for key brand meetings alongside the Creative Director
  • Follow up with brands via feedback meetings with the view to securing another placement
  • Keep a 'pulse' on the new and latest developments in this category and continuously provide a fresh perspective on future product selection and trends
  • Work closely with the MD to sign off on monthly product inclusions and building new partnership ideas.

SKILLS & QUALITIES

  • Strong sales skills + beauty industry contacts with proven results
  • Strong Leadership skills and interest in business strategy
  • Budget management
  • Very professional demeanour, must always present the company in the best light
  • Detail focused and able to keep on top of paperwork, contracts and ensuring data on Salesforce is kept up to date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Prior experience cold calling brands in a sales role
  • Proactive, motivated and enthusiastic with willingness to succeed-no is never a no!
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex projects in a calm manner
  • Honesty, Integrity, Good team player
  • A keen interest in the Beauty industry staying ahead of key trends and beauty launches

Technical know-how and qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience sales/new business development experience with proven contacts in beauty/cosmetics or B2B experience
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Salesforce knowledge advantageous but not essential
