Gloss Communications is an established PR and marketing agency with clients across hair, beauty, health/wellbeing, fitness and lifestyle.

We’re looking for a motivated, capable PR Account Executive with good working knowledge and a love for social media to join our team working across a mix of hair, beauty, wellness and lifestyle clients. Suitable applicants will have a passion for a career in PR, with a proven track record of securing coverage, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside a growing contacts book.

This is largely a remote working role for the foreseeable future, and we value ability over candidate location. The role is four days per week, and the ability to work independently is essential. We offer training and room to grow for the right person. Former staff members now run their own agencies and head up PR departments at many corporations and global brands.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating press releases and accompanying assets.
• Media relations - the successful candidate will need to be experienced at securing coverage and confident when pitching on the phone and in writing.
• Day to day support to the PR Directors across all clients.
• Management of deadline diary and press appointments.
• Working with clients to gather assets for pitching and features.
• Daily review of media for coverage and articles of interest, and management of press cuttings via Cision.
• Producing coverage reports.
• Managing stock and send outs.
• Manage our client image bank and distribute imagery with correct credits.
• Day-to-day administrative duties.
• Support the wider PR team with event planning and attendance where needed.
• Manage and oversee databases.
• Draft of newsletters.
• Production of social media content (Facebook, Instagram.)

Requirements:

• Passionate about beauty and wellness and an avid consumer of media.
• Graduate with minimum 2+ years’ experience in PR/Marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - the ability to spell and use grammar accurately is essential for this role.
• Highly organised, impeccable attention to detail and ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise projects on a day-to-day basis.
• A results-driven, proactive, highly motivated team player.
• Confident to use email, Excel, Google Docs, Word and, to a lesser extent, PowerPoint.
• Design skills - confident with Canva and Capcut
