ABOUT THIS ROLE

Reporting to the UK Social Media Manager, the UK Social Media Executive will be a social media fanatic who is both passionate, and beauty obsessed. They will be a critical support in the day-to-day delivery and execution on the UK Social Media Strategy, cascading our unique tone of voice throughout our UK social channels.

This role will directly contribute to profitable growth & the delivery of financial targets for the UK and Ireland.

‘’UK and Ireland’’ is the largest and most developed markets for ghd. It is a critical territory for the sustainability of the brand at a global level. Consequently, the UK Social Media Executive will play a key role in supporting in the execution of ‘internet breaking’ social content for the UK.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Role model and champion the 5Cs framework, be Collaborative, Creative, Courageous, Connected, Committed
  • Foster a culture of creativity and excellence
  • Own the ghd UK social media content calendars- Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, YouTube & Twitter, maintaining daily activity across all social platforms
  • Social copywriting
  • Remain reactive to changes and unplanned content such as global events, press coverage, user generated content and influencer posts
  • Create and implement social specific campaigns that increase brand engagement
  • Implement key tactics to increase platform performance across followers, reach and engagement
  • Monitor analytics for UK social media channels to create social media reports
  • Investigate and research new social media tools, emerging platforms, social trends and competitors
  • Assist in community management and engaging with relevant social accounts
  • Seek out relevant brand partnerships and collaborative social opportunities (e.g social competitions, live events)
  • Own the Facebook shop
  • Help build and manage the social content library, working closely with wider teams to ensure content and comms are cascaded
  • Assist in planning and attend ghd content shoots and events to capture social content

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role
  • Strong written communication and proof-reading skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to report on and analyse key figures and stats
  • Strong knowledge and passion for social media and all things hair, with the ability to monitor social algorithms and changes, trends and opportunities
  • Proficiency skills with Photoshop and some video editing skills
  • Proficiency with social software’s i.e Emplifi, Facebook shop and scheduling tools
  • Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic individual with a positive attitude, “can do” approach and entrepreneurial growth and ‘anything is possible’ mindset
  • Resilience and Agile to the dynamic nature of the ever-changing market and business needs
  • Strong organisational skills, an eye for detail and ability to juggle multiple projects and ability to multitask under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability, can give examples of taking measured risks to achieve results
  • Enthusiastic, energetic outgoing, determined to win and a passion for social media, and all things hair
  • Act with transparency and integrity
  • Create a climate of inclusion and diversity
  • Actively live and breathe the ghd brand
  • UK based with the ability to travel to UK/ROI without restrictions
