Requirements

• A PR Gun; you will be energetic, passionate about storytelling, have the ability to adapt to any news to FOREO and a real go-getter.
• A proven storyteller. Let us see your last story and show us how much the media picked it up!
• Excellent media contacts with a proven track record of established relationships with top tier publications
• Passion and infectious personality for brand advocacy and building relationships
• BA/MA degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field
• 5 years of experience in a similar position will be appreciated
• 2 years experience in the Beauty industry is preferable.
• A creative, dynamic, forward thinking person- a solution solver and a doer.
• Understanding the needs of the UK market.
• Proactive, strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
• Results driven, but positive attitude

Key Responsibilities

• Daily outreach to media to pitch relevant stories, connect with media, be across the stories they are writing and bolster media relationships
• Devise and execute a local market PR and storytelling plan in line with global strategy
• Localise all global stories to suit your market and secure media cut through
• Liaise with, manage and work side by side with the PR agency on the ground and take on board the responsibility for PR KPIs on a monthly basis of your agency and yourself.
• Daily checking of incoming PR enquiries and / or priority actioning of the local media enquiries forwarded to you by the global team.
• Daily checking of the UK’s news headlines to ensure you are across the current affairs and can identify any newsjacking opportunities in the UK market
• Crafting news stories from content from social media channels, collaborations with your digital teams and influencers / KOLs and sourcing data, anecdotes internally, partnerships, anniversary dates, milestones etc to help you to create daily engaging stories you can pitch to media.
• Taking the lead for updating and refreshing local press kits and ensuring all press kits for new stories and initiatives are collated properly and on time and saved accordingly
• Creating presentations where required for wider UK teams
• Updating and maintaining master media database for the whole of the UK
• Updating and maintaining PR spreadsheets and contacts such as contacts lists for agencies, influencers, suppliers etc and any ad-hoc spreadsheets required
• Rolling out campaigns such as coordinating media gifting, teasers, media lists, follow ups, invites to events, numbers of samples per markets etc and executing on the above activities
• Ordering samples and updating the record of this for your market
• Own the product and brand reputation management programmes for UK, complementing efforts of PR agency in identifying high-value opportunities to increase positive sentiment
• Pitch out to VIP contacts during product and brand launch campaigns, to expand our media reach
• Align content creation efforts with agency PR calendar to deliver brand-led campaigns
• Be key liaison between Global PR team and as required reach out to top tier celebrities and KOLs which will help you create stories for the UK market and drive awareness of FOREO
• Oversee and approve celebrity and KOL content creation, ensuring aligned with UK market objectives as well as global and share all content for wider markets to use.
