Role Introduction

An exciting opportunity to join EMU Australia's European team. You'll be joining a progressive company and working in a retail/fashion environment within an account executive role, specialising in wholesale store distribution and working closely with 100 premium independent and key retailers across the North of the UK.

We are looking for an extremely positive, proactive and enthusiastic person who may already have some wholesale sales experience in footwear or fashion. However, sales experience is not necessary. 

You may also have experience in fashion or retail store management and understand the sales process. You may be a recently qualified student with the relevant academic qualifications and a strong interest in fashion/lifestyle and excited to learn more.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Your main focus will be to develop and grow EMU Australia’s 365 days a year wholesale footwear business in your existing independent retail stores, including the best and most influential premium retailers in the North UK.
• You will work closely with independent retailers, conduct buying meetings in person, share our latest collections and seasonal look books, and assist in selecting a premium range of products for the store.  
• Introduce the brand to high-quality retailers and key accounts through prospecting and market research to find new business and premium stores in the North UK that align with our brand. 
• Increase EMU Australia’s brand exposure and maximise sell-through in-store by selecting successful product ranges and exceeding customers’ expectations through store visits and premium visual merchandising. 
• Work with the marketing team to arrange in-store events, promotions, social media support, premium instore displays, staff training and connecting retailers’ social media channels with the brand.
• Grow your own regional EMU Australia social media channel to connect and build relationships with retailers. Working with the Social Media Marketing Manager to share the latest content.
• Establish yourself as an EMU Australia brand ambassador.

Travel Opportunities 

You will organise and manage your own time and plan your journey and customer visits while balancing your time between building relationships with existing accounts and developing new business. Extensive travel means staying away from home several nights per week, giving you a fantastic opportunity to travel around the North UK and Scotland. 

There will be additional travel opportunities throughout the year, such as our annual visit to Australia plus trips across Europe and the London Head Office for training and seasonal launches.

Qualities 

• Energy, drive and passion to succeed
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Wholesale sales experience, however, this is not necessary 
• Some experience and awareness of the footwear/fashion industry
• Interest in building brands through establishing wholesale store distribution
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Social media awareness, to develop connections with your retailers
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
• Highly competent with Excel/Word/PowerPoint
