We are looking for an energetic and proactive Communications Manager to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in driving global visibility and appeal of the Dr Sam’s brand through global media coverage, strategic PR partnerships and engaging Influencer & Press events. Your primary responsibility will be to build and execute a strong PR strategy, develop new, impactful brand partnerships that amplify brand reach to new customers and execute best-in-class influencer & press events maximizing EMV.

We are looking for someone who brings passion and confidence to the business, with a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Someone that has their finger on the pulse of existing and new media and is plugged-in to an ever-changing media landscape. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and help fuel the fast growth we are experiencing on the brand.

Reports to the Global Marketing Director and working collaboratively with the broader Marketing team.

 

Responsibilities:

Public Relations

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Global PR strategy to increase Dr Sam’s brand awareness and propel the profile of Dr Sam Bunting across the industry
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, journalists, and influencers in the skincare, beauty, and wellness sectors.
  • Secure regular and strategic media coverage, including press releases, interviews, product features, and expert commentary, across print, online, and broadcast outlets.
  • Develop press pitches for all major marketing activities and a regular eblast strategy
  • Drive paid PR strategy preparing Linkby briefs to drive brand priorities
  • Bridge connections through PR relationships to help unlock collaborations and partnerships to help drive brand awareness
  • Craft and execute a PR strategy to support The Clinic to help fuel client acquisition
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and PR campaigns to assess effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity and emerging PR opportunities

     

Event Management

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events, including product launches, influencer events, media events, and industry conferences.
  • Ensure seamless execution of in-person and virtual events that engage key stakeholders and elevate brand recognition.
  • Manage event budgets, logistics, and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event marketing campaigns that drive attendance and engagement.
  • Track event KPIs and provide post-event reports with insights and recommendations.

     

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in public relations, partnerships, and event management, preferably in beauty, skincare, or wellness industries.
  • PR Expertise & existing relationships: Strong understanding of the media landscape, with a proven track record of securing coverage in top-tier publications and outlets.
  • Event Planning: Solid experience in planning and executing high-impact events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials, pitches, and presentations.
  • Relationship Building: Strong network of contacts within media, influencers, and potential business partners.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity: A keen eye for innovative marketing tactics and a passion for thinking outside the box.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while consistently exemplifying our culture and values
  • Passion for Skincare: A genuine interest in skincare and wellness, with an understanding of current industry trends.
