Derris is looking for a Press Assistant to work across a variety of accounts, with a desire to increase their knowledge and expertise in the industry. Furthermore, we are looking for candidates passionate about contributing and creating a unique company culture.
The role is best suited to an ambitious entry-level candidate, with a minimum of 1 years experience, looking to further their career in a growing company with the opportunity to progress within the business.

Responsibilities
- Manage, track, and update the day-to-day client tasks within your respective account teams
- Assist with the preparation of press materials, outreach lists and management of brand assets
- Coordinate and manage key daily press activity across accounts eg. imagery, samples, etc.
- Generate media placements that convey key brand messages and ultimately meet the objectives of the client
- Develop and garner relationships with journalists across a variety of sectors
- Support management of client events and media days
- Monitor, analyse and monitor client’s social media and press coverage
- Conduct research tasks across media, competitor, event landscapes
- Create and prepare client reports and presentations
- Adhere to deadlines and deliver work on time
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally across accounts
- Candidate should be detail oriented, self-motivated and be able to work under pressure
