Brand consultancy and communications agency, Derris UK is looking for a passionate self starter to join the company as an Account Manager. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day tactical execution across a variety of consumer accounts while also learning strategic planning across a mix of clients. The ideal candidate is a passionate self-starter with a 2-4 years relevant public relations experience working across industries and comfortable working on account teams with several team members.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day tactical lead for your clients, including both internally and externally
- Possess a strong sense of tactical execution to successfully deliver clients communication strategies whilst learning strategic planning
- Lead and manage pitching efforts across the agency in broadcast, print and online to generate media placements to meet the objectives of the clients
- Cultivate and maintain strong media relationships across a variety of sectors
- Skilled at creating media and client-facing materials, including pitches, agendas/recaps, prep docs, reports and press releases
- Oversee the management the internal running of client accounts including press materials, databases, reports, imagery/samples, media & social monitoring
- Take ownership of leading projects including client events, influencer seeding programmes and campaigns
- Research social media influencers and assist with the management of gifting programmes & campaign initiatives
- Conduct research tasks across media, competitor, event landscapes
- Manage junior team members whilst also working with senior team to develop management skills
- Support the senior team with research and ideas for strategy brainstorms, new business and partnerships across clients
- Adhere to deadlines and deliver work on time within a fast-paced environment
Key Skills
- 2-4 years Public Relations experience, agency experience preferred
- Strong relationship building experience with media and clients across different industries
- Any knowledge of European media/influencer market and/or fluent in French and/or German is a plus (please specify this on application)
- Ability to think through communication strategies and deliver tangible results
- Strong and professional communication skills
- Communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally across accounts and with colleagues in our global offices (US/Europe)
- Self motivated and ambitious with the ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude
- Demonstrate our core values as a continual team player
- Contribute to a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented company culture
- Up to date with the industry and news agenda, showing a desire to consume traditional and social media
