Cosmetics Business is looking for a News Editor who has experience in B2B, business reporting, or writing about the beauty industry.
Applicants will be a vital member of Cosmetics Business' award-winning team of journalists by developing coverage both digitally and across two monthly print titles, Cosmetics Business and Pure Beauty.
We are looking for an ambitious journalist who has experience of landing regular exclusive stories and thrives off presenting news with fresh angles. Accuracy and clean news writing to tight deadlines is required, as is the ability to think analytically through feature writing and maintain a black book of industry contacts.

Responsibilities
- Be a digital-first news hound and able to work under pressure while not compromising on quality
- Write and commission breaking news stories, interviews features and Q&As
- Work closely with the Cosmetics Business team, especially our News Reporter
- Create, build, post and tag all content using our content management system
- Attend industry events and travel internationally as required for trade events
- Work with the production and editorial teams to manage Cosmetics Business' and Pure Beauty's social media strategy
- Moderate/host commercial webinars and video products
About you
- Have an unflappable, team player attitude. You should be comfortable interviewing the industry's most influential CEOs, able to spot emerging trends and keen to analyse key issues shaping the global beauty industry
- Experience working as a reporter or editor, preferably for a leading B2B publication or national title
- Have a proven experience of landing exclusive news stories and interviews
- Have an NCTJ accreditation, or Journalism/Media Studies degree
- Experience of generating exclusive stories and interviews
- Up-to-date knowledge of media law
- Knowledge and experience SEO tactics and social media management
- Be London based, or have easy access to our offices located in London Bridge
