The PR Manager is responsible for the organisation of the Condé Nast Britain Press Office, working closely with the Press Officer and day-to-day account management across Condé Nast Britain brands. 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent judgement, drive and significant experience in strategic media relations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day account management across Condé Nast brands, possessing a strong media relations skill set on both a reactive & proactive basis
  • Building and maintaining relationships with a broad range of media titles across the UK
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to write press releases, Op-Eds, speeches and briefing documents on a daily basis
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape with the ability to flex strategically across any news agenda
  • Strategically planning communications activity across both titles, including proactive profiles pieces across editorial and proactive business pieces across commercial
  • An excellent news sense in terms of anticipating stories and coming up with media plans that will engage journalists
  • Excellent oral communications skill set
  • The ability to remain focused under pressure, organise priorities, tackle complex tasks and issues with determination in a busy environment and in the face of resistance – a can-do attitude
  • A proven track record of working on proactive announcements, launches and campaigns
  • A solid understanding of reactive communications management and issues management across the UK and globally

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years PR experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong media relations experience and writing skills
  • A detail orientated person across all aspects of work
  • Previous experience in mentoring and day-to-day management of executives; and any additional assistants as required
  • Absolute discretion required
  • The ability to occasionally work out of hours as required
