Capsule Comms is looking for an Account Director to join its growing team after recently acquiring some exciting new brands. The candidate will need to have at least 5-6 years’ PR experience working within the beauty and lifestyle sector.
Your main roles and responsibilities will include:
- Deliver a strategic comms approach by leading on client proposals and RTBs.
- Be insights driven and communicate industry knowledge to the wider business to upskill junior team.
- Lead on a mixture of health/lifestyle and beauty accounts
- Build key client relationships to become a trusted extension of their team.
- Create robust and best in class event activations from creative concept and ideation to production and execution.
- Build and maintain key media and influencer contacts, locking in 2 x media meets per a month minimum.
- Coverage generation with a focus on features placements and profiling opportunities.
- Lead on all client asset creation, briefing junior team and showcasing BIC assets.
- Lead on all finance budget trackers with accuracy and an eye for detail reporting accurate results to the Finance Director, monitoring spend and ensuring expenses are being uploaded and are within budget.
- Lead on all contract negotiation with talent and industry professionals.
- Lead the team to deliver against set KPIs and ensure targets are met, pivoting plans and strategies when relevant.
- Ensure excellent client communication is adopted by the team.
- Helping the company to promote high morale and communicate the company’s operating policies and business DNA by leading by example and guiding the team accordingly.
- Host weekly 1:1s with direct reports, delivering feedback where required. Motivating direct reports in setting and review goals in a weekly basis.
- Lead all team meetings and ensure key actions are delegated accordingly.
- Lead on all presentation including response to briefs (RTB), leading the team on actions and supporting with presenting.
- Support in Performance Development Programme (PDP) process, hosting AE sessions and reporting back to Head of Comms.
- Support on business documents including case studies, website management and business announcements (internal and external).
- Support in the development of new business strategies, brainstorms, decks and pitches.
- Ensure new processes put in place by senior team are reflected across full team and brands swiftly.
- Take ownership of strategies and projects within the business e.g. influencer partnerships and processes, CC social strategy, case studies etc.
- Networking within the industry and highlighting key events and activations to the team.

- Strong health, beauty and wellness relations (journalists and influencers)
- Excellent writing, communication and language skills
- Thorough reporting and confident presentation skills
- Creative and dynamic; an always on attitude and unrivalled passion for the industry
- Confident leading meetings, calls and representing the client and Capsule Comms agency
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with confidence to manage up as well as down
- Extensive knowledge of the UK media landscape; including print, digital, social and broadcast
