Brandstand Communications is hiring an Account Manager - Beauty & Wellness (experience essential)

Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Account Manager with a minimum x4years Beauty experience to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in beauty & wellness, who thrives on building media relationships, delivering exceptional client service, and supporting integrated campaigns. You’ll be a collaborative team player with a personable approach and a desire to grow within the industry. You’ll be expected to bring enthusiasm, initiative, creativity and some existing media and influencer contacts, while demonstrating a willingness to develop and learn.

Key Responsibilities

Client Support & Communication

• Partner closely with senior team members to nurture strong, proactive client relationships across beauty, skincare, and wellness accounts.
• Lead day-to-day client communications, including regular calls and meetings, managing critical paths, and ensuring deliverables and KPIs achieved.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, offering strategic input and flagging emerging opportunities or challenges.
• Stay up to date with client activities, competitor landscape, and wider industry trends to help shape proactive recommendations.
• Assist in the development of strategic comms plans, presentations, and quarterly reviews. Media Relations & Influencer Outreach
• Build and maintain strong relationships with beauty and health journalists, content creators, and influencers – nurturing contacts that lead to meaningful coverage.
• Lead on drafting and distributing press releases, media alerts, influencer briefs, and targeted pitching.
• Secure consistent media placements and influencer collaborations across traditional and digital channels.
• Monitor and evaluate coverage, flagging hero placements and learnings to the team and clients.

Campaign & Project Management

• Support the planning, execution, and optimisation of integrated PR and influencer campaigns.
• Own logistical elements of activations – from sampling, seeding, and mailers to event coordination and ambassador partnerships.
• Manage timelines and workflow across internal teams, partners, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery and high standards.
• Track budgets, liaise with vendors, and ensure all activity remains within scope. Content & Reporting
• Prepare clear, insightful campaign reports showcasing media results, influencer content, KPIs, and earned value.
• Gather insights to inform recommendations, optimise future activity, and add strategic value for clients.
• Contribute creative concepts and trend-led thinking to campaign brainstorms, new business decks, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Support in the creation of engaging press materials, brand narratives, and client documents.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years’ experience in PR and communications, ideally within a fast-paced agency environment.
• Proven track record in beauty and wellness PR is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and execute successful influencer and VIP engagement campaigns, from seeding to activation.
• Confident in using media monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., Cision, CoverageBook, Kolquare) and social platforms to track performance and uncover insights.
• Experience planning and delivering survey-led campaigns, including consumer insights, data storytelling, and media sell-in.
