Role Objective:

Leading the UK/EU Digital Team and working closely with the Global Digital partners to successfully strategize and build the digital marketing strategy, the Head of Digital Marketing will be responsible for all digital, social, and influencer activity for the Bondi Sands brand in the UK/EU  market to achieve revenue and community growth goals. 

As a key leader in the Region, this role will be responsible for leading the UK/EU Digital team to effectively manage all digital and social marketing content/campaigns ensuring that Bondi Sand’s brand remains relevant to the UK/EU customers across all digital touchpoints, including social media, website, 3rd parties and online communities.

The Head of Digital Marketing will be crucial in ensuring the Bondi Sands brand stays abreast of digital trends and capitalizes on new disruptive digital techniques to continue capturing the Gen Z and Millennial audience and further fueling our growth in new retailers and categories.

Key Capabilities, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideally 8+ years digital marketing experience that includes paid digital media, SEO & SEM, display, social media, influencer and digital targeting capabilities 
  • Experience overseeing or marketing on popular social media platforms, including Facebook/Instagram, YouTube, (Tik Tok a plus)
  • Experience with SEM and Google Search
  • Experience within the CPG, retail, beauty or fast-fashion industry on either client or agency side
  • Experience leading and building a digital marketing team
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced growth environment 

Knowledge/Qualifications 

  • Qualified in Marketing or Business, with Digital certifications
  • MBA or Marketing Masters highly desirable

Key Accountabilities    Major Activities    Performance Measures

Digital Marketing & Strategy

  • Lead digital and influencer strategies for UK & work closely with EU distributors to ensure a strong EU strategy. 
  • Ensure all strategies are created with consideration to the overall global brand marketing and digital objectives and opportunities within UK/EU market
  • Build out brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention strategies for the UK / EU 
  • Develop growth marketing strategies across efficient and effective levers, including paid and earned channels
  • Adept in managing Paid Social (particularly FB/IG and TikTok) and Search campaigns and identifying optimizations and budget changes to improve performance
  • Manage and test new customer acquisition programs beyond existing platforms
  • Ensure all digital content is relevant and aligned to both retail and online plans and create localized content as needed
  • Ensure digital customer journey remains relevant and engaging for the Bondi Sands customer
  • Identify and implement opportunities for brand awareness and adoption through UK/EU brand ambassadors 
  • Identify new beauty destinations for digital opportunities
  • Lead compliance with brand style and tone of voice guidelines for all Digital Campaigns
  • Oversee key digital projects for the year as requested 
  • Refine digital frameworks and workflows
  • Set KPIs and benchmarks for all digital activity and review plans for delivery of KPI metrics
  • Review and report on all digital initiatives
  • Lead and Manage adherence to allocated digital marketing budgets. Ensure team reconciles invoices against allocated budget to respective monthly budget.
  • Increase customer awareness and brand loyalty across all digital and social channels.     

Team Leadership / Management

  • Lead and develop the UK/EU and Media & Influencer team 
  • Manage the work effort of the team to achieve agreed objectives for business development and retention 

  • Architect productive team processes that promote collaboration, efficiency, and communication flow in order to deliver key objectives within tight timelines within the local and greater global team, and key partners
  • Acquire and maintain an appropriate level of leadership skills in order to lead and motivate the team to achieve their personal potential and enhance their career advancement prospects. This includes, where appropriate: 
  • Conducting Performance Appraisals of all staff within the Company’s guidelines and procedures 

  • Conducting or investigating training requirements and programs
  • Preparing individual team members for higher duties 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business plans and strategies for the division, including monitoring of results
  • Communicate effectively with team on a regular basis ensuring information is clear, accurate and timely 
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to and that established procedures are adhered to and monitored    

Supplier Management / Teamwork

  • Maintain relationships with digital marketing agencies using strict KPIs to maximise ROI
  • Oversee collaboration with global digital and social team 
  • Negotiate with ATL and BTL agencies and promotional partners where required, to leverage the best ROI
  • Work effectively with team/work group or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g. peers, business partners, Distributors) to accomplish organizational goals
  • Keep management and others informed appropriately and as required about work status
  • Take actions that respect the needs and contributions of others
  • Contribute to, accept, and assist in the implementation of the organization's vision and values    

Reporting & Analysis

  • Monitor and evaluate statistics for each digital marketing campaign
  • Monitor UK/EU market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities (not limited to tanning category) to identify opportunities and key issues 
  • Analyze and report on digital campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising digital campaigns, promotions and activities
  • Measure and report on the results of all digital activity and campaigns against KPIs at monthly meeting
  • Ensure robust tracking and conduct rigorous analysis of growth opportunities and performance, including mix modeling to determine optimal spend by channel. Develop reporting dashboards, briefing our executive team on the spend and efficacy of growth marketing efforts
  • Research and identify new digital and social opportunities for brand awareness and conversion
  • Review and report findings and recommendations on all Bondi Sands North America digital platforms and touchpoints, including all websites and social channels
  • Review, develop and update SOP’s & policies    

Education / Compliance

  • Undertake Professional Development activities as outlined in the training & development plan
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant Acts, legal requirements and ethical standards
  • Ensure compliance and promotes adherence to the Bondi Sands culture, values, policies and standards
