Bloxham PR - Account Manager

BLOXHAM is looking for a seriously impressive, results-driven creative PR Account Manager to join our growing luxury PR agency. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years solid PR experience, a proven track record in developing strong relationships with clients and media alike – national, consumer and broadcast level, as well as specialist and trade sectors. A strategically creative mind and exemplary written ability is essential, as is an enviable contact book bursting with media contacts to secure top level results across all media verticals from day one.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in PR agency / in-house.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong and consistently evolving network of mid to top tier editors, freelance journalists, stylists, and influencers across all relevant sectors.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of all relevant media sectors to enable effective sell-in of clients and briefing of account team. 
  • Confidence in presenting to a range of different audiences, clients, press, new business, internal team, and wider industry under the guidance of senior team.
  • Ability to demonstrate success in pitching stories, features, news agenda to press, coupled with the knowledge, drive, and determination to secure a consistent mix of coverage across all media.

Characteristics:

  • Excellent creative copywriting skills with exemplary spelling, grammar, punctuation and fact-checking. 
  • Good emotional intelligence with clients, press and the internal team, and the ability to adapt leadership and management skills to suit the individual. 
  • The ability to perform extremely well under pressure, juggling multiple tasks and delivering results to tight deadlines. 
  • Strong organisational skills, consistently demonstrating the ability to plan strategy and tasks, both personally and to account lead and account support.
  • Careful attention to detail. 
  • Great communication skills, in person as well as over email, phone, and across social channels. Establish yourself as the key contact for client liaison.
  • Lateral thinking to deliver a true 360o approach – not only for your client, but the full client portfolio and agency as a whole.
  • Ability to build or further establish a professional profile within relevant industry sectors via networking, freelance writing, social media presence and event attendance.  
  • Ability to identify opportunities for clients to meet their communications objectives - including services provided in-house and sourcing/managing third parties to deliver wider services – supporting business objectives.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and dedicated approach with an abundance of common sense, always demonstrating a genuine eagerness to learn and support.  
  • Ambitious with a desire to build a long-term career in PR.  

Key roles and primary responsibilities: 

  • Devise and implement strategy and monitor and measure to ensure it achieves client objectives, under the guidance of senior team.
  • Creation and distribution of press releases to support client campaigns, to secure top level editorial, achieving agreed KPIs.
  • Targeted feature, profile and product pitching across all media verticals to secure top level editorial, achieving agreed KPIs. 
  • Identifying and dealing with any day-to-day issues that may arise, reporting outcomes to senior team. Dealing with any client issues collaboratively with senior team.
  • Manage and improve existing client relationships ensuring clients’ expectations and needs are met and exceeded in a timely and professional manner under the guidance of senior team.
  • Sharing creative ideas that enhance client delivery as well as the internal Bloxham experience.
  • Provide an excellent standard of client service and support this approach from all team members.
  • Maintain and develop a strong knowledge of the UK media, VIP, and industry news agenda.
  • Think analytically, intelligently, and strategically to deliver work to a high standard, from account management to business development, under the guidance of senior team.
  • Display management qualities that allow you to delegate effectively and encourage the development of the junior team under the guidance of senior team, whilst at the same time keeping your senior team abreast of your personal strategy, workload and output.

Hybrid working available – minimum 3 days in the office

Salary: Competative, depending on experience
Holiday: 31 days pa, inclusive of UK bank holidays, 3 days to be taken over Christmas
