JOB PURPOSE

Manage and drive Owned Social Media channels - bareMinerals and Buxom UK; develop cohesive and complementary owned (always on) social media strategy for all UK social channels that is aligned with marketing strategy and brand tone of voice, engages fans/followers and drives traffic to our sales channels.  Build Influencer network and make recommendations for local engaging partnerships.  Proactive management of all social channels to maximise reach, engagement and continued growth.  

Develop/adapt bareMinerals marketing strategy for retail partners’ ecommerce and pure player sites to optimise channel performance & visibility, build relationships and seek out new revenue-driving and communication opportunities.  Monitor retail partners’ online activity to ensure on brand and aligned with the business priorities.  

Build relations with NAM and retailer with social and digital counterparts at retailers to become go-to for collaborative content and partnership ideas to drive multi-channel sales and share of voice through their handles.

Liaise with Appropriate Marketing Manager (and / or Paris as appropriate) to feed into social element of paid media strategy and once agreed deliver Digital Marketing activation (Social / Digital / Unbranded Search) of Brand Media campaigns.

Manage Digital and Marketing Assistant and oversee implementation of marketing calendar and asset delivery of NPD for e-tailers as well as day-to-day social activation and reporting. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1/ Social Media:

  • Work with marketing team to develop the social media strategy/themes, and then build up day-to-day calendar and content
  • Budget management and recommendations – campaigns, boosted posts, influencer activity, production, live activity etc. Experiment with new ways to create engaging content, add value and standout
  • Manage response to customer questions/feedback/local conversations on all social channels (DM and comments - proactive response/engagement or pass to consumer services)
  • Continue to grow the bareMinerals social media channels with engaged fans/followers
  • Collaborate with UK Marketing, PR and QVC to ensure their social media requirements are being met and work with PR to increase Blogger outreach
  • Monitor social media activity from our competitors and look for new ways to maximize opportunities
  • Develop and maintain monthly KPI report for @baremineralsuk and @buxomcosmeticsuk social channels and issue each month with insight and actions
  • As appropriate work with external social/digital agencies to plan and execute engaging and exciting campaigns
  • As appropriate work with Marketing Manager on additional content creation campaigns
  • Keep on top of social media regulations and policies and new channels
  • Engage in social listening, identifying trends, opportunities and feedback with recommendations to relevant parties
  • Attend PR and UK Marketing events to provide social media support

 2/ Online Retail Partners:

  • Drive sales and online visibility with online retail partners
  • Ensure all NPD assets have been shared to retail partner websites to launch on time and on brand
  • Plan Online Partner brand treatment updates and play to each e-tail channel strengths according to asset availability and brand marketing calendar
  • Support requests (and/or seek out visibility), and oversee and approve online retailer partner assets for email and other digital campaigns
  • Monitor online retail partner activity for UK to ensure they are aligned and representing bareMinerals brand and guidelines and seek out competitor best practice
  • Work closely with National Account Managers to deliver timely launch plans Provide support and contribute ideas and plans for implementing key activities and campaigns for packages bought from online partners
  • Maintain online digital calendar of activity for all retailers
  • Work closely with the Online Team to plan, build and implement website content to support key launches and activity on e-tailer sites
  • Liaise with Global Creative team for asset and copy approval

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL

  • Proven experience acting as the Social Media lead within an organisation with excellent understanding of social media platforms and the role of each to play within the comms mix
  • Passion for digital environment and enjoyment of keeping up to speed with new social and tech developments
  • Ability to gain insight and identify emerging trends and present ideas for trial and / or sign off
  • Be able to demonstrate consistent growth in followers and engagement growth and a creative outlook
  • Able to manage time effectively, have excellent organisational skills and work well with contractors/partners/internal teams
  • Strong awareness of brand representation and messaging
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Understanding of and experience of developing strategy and trialling/evaluating new opportunities
  • Must-have experience in implementation of social media activity and well versed in managing all the social media channels
  • Understanding of social media KPIs and analytics – always on and campaigns
  • Must be a flexible and a strong team player
  • Good project management skills, attention to detail and planning to hit deadlines on time and in budget
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well under pressure

DESIRABLE

  • Experience within a beauty category
  • Knowledge of Social Media Analytics
  • A relevant business degree /diploma
  • Ability to learn and work with Photoshop software/editing tools
