During this exciting time, we are expanding on our brands which currently consist of ranges such as Revlon Realistic, Crème of Nature, Sofn’Free, Lotta Body and with more creativity in the pipeline, we require a proactive and intelligent individual who has experience in marketing in order to effectively develop brand strategies, plan and manage social media accounts with a unique eye as to what is fresh and current to maintain campaign-focused content and to handle specific projects in a proficient manner.

About the role:

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for all the internal and external communications, category management at both retail and wholesale levels, from SKU performance analytics to being actively involved in evolving the brand strategies, marketing campaigns, research and day-to-day administration.  You will work alongside a small team supporting our sales manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director. 

This is a full-time role based in Watford but will include some field-based weekend work (promotions, events and exhibitions)

You should hold a full driving license and be able to drive to our office daily, as there is NO public transport to our office and some travel is essential for this job.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Knowledge of the Afro-Caribbean market would be an advantage and/or A strong interest in hair and the hair industry
• Some knowledge of Photoshop and WordPress is required
• Day-to-day management of our social media platforms including content creation, scheduling a calendar for each brand for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. Analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of social campaigns and posts.
• To help coordinate the development of campaign assets in accordance with the marketing calendar and campaign plan
• Liaise with the designers, production departments for artworks of POS materials, adverts etc…
• Assisting the director with new product development, customer insight and advertising
• Assisting with updates and maintaining of our websites.
• Experience with Photoshop/Illustrator/In Design would be desirable

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least two years’ experience in a marketing/brand management position
• Must be proactive, flexible and able to handle multitude of projects at one time.
• Can-do attitude
• Strong creative, analytical and organisational skills
• Microsoft office proficient.
• A second language is also ideal but not essential

• Salary: 21k - 24k depending on experience

• Days & hours: 5 days Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm
