About the role:

The Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager will work in a varied and exciting role within the wider agency, working across all aspects of social media and digital marketing, managing client accounts, and reporting into the Company Directors.

The successful candidate will work alongside account teams to ensure an integrated approach to all client campaigns, linking in with full communications and PR strategies to deliver results and report on these.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Copywriting

  • Create engaging social media campaign strategies that support the key messages of each client
  • Oversee social media implementation for your accounts – including content creation, outreach, engagement, scheduling, advertising, and reporting – in order to grow clients’ social media presence across all relevant platforms and reach target demographics
  • Act as the main contact for your own portfolio of clients, meeting each monthly to discuss strategy and present results
  • Manage compelling content, calendars and scheduled posts for each client across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Frequent visits to clients to research and source content
  • Manage an image library of assets for each client
  • Contribute to AKA’s own social media presence working in conjunction with the PR teams
  • Ensure relevant tone of voice and bespoke identity is implemented for each client across social media channels
  • Have a great eye to organise and lead on shoots for clients
  • Be able to create organic in house content (including short form videography) where professional photography is unavailable

Engagement

  • Stay up to date with social media algorithms to ensure maximum reach and engagement for clients
  • Have a tool kit of great ways to increase following across client accounts and implement this where necessary
  • Form and develop strong relationships with social media influencers and tastemakers, as well as maintaining and updating media lists
  • Come up with innovative ways to increase following and role these ideas out to our social media executives

Wider Digital Marketing and Events

  • Assist in producing client and internal newsletters where necessary
  • Have a good knowledge of paid social and implement a paid social strategy for clients where necessary
  • Source, devise and implement blogger, influencer and VIP events at clients per annual digital strategy
  • Support agency PR team events with relevant suggestions for guest lists
  • Attending company client and industry events where required
  • Manage influencer events with PR teams

Reporting

  • Produce monthly client reports for the Digital Marketing division of the agency
  • Analyse best performing posts and suggest future campaign ideas for clients
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for all clients to ensure we’re giving them the most relevant information
  • Collate and analyze social media results and growth for monthly client reports
  • Host monthly client meetings
  • Provide clients with fortnightly content calendars

Person Specification

  • Previous experience with social media or digital marketing across our sectors
  • Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative. Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to adapt writing styles and tones to suit varying brands
  • Eye for creativity and detail, applying this to client's social media feeds
  • Discreet, professional, well presented, and with excellent communication skills
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • An understanding of best practice within social media and paid social
  • Knowledge of key influencers within the restaurant and hospitality community
  • Familiarity with London's finest restaurants, bars and hotels as well as food and drink brands
  • Has an innate understanding of what it takes to curate and produce stunning content across social media, newsletters among other channels
  • Confident and competent working on own initiative
  • Strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
  • An understanding that working in a communications agency is not a 9-5 role with a willingness to work at evening events and attend industry networking events.
