WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Community & Culture Specialist, UK & IRE (The Ordinary) who will lead the implementation of seeding strategies and build noise where we are currently “not talking” with non-beauty related verticals. This position will support the Communications Senior Manager UK & IRE and Community & Culture Manager, Global.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Align with key tastemakers within the region to build rapport and introduce them to products
- Grow word of mouth recommendations via community communication and create moments of crave over traditional storytelling
- Create deep connections with tastemakers who are leaders in culture, meeting regularly, and building long-lasting relationships
- Create a regionalised culture calendar to align product gifting and partnerships
- Report on culture activity and relationships status on a regular basis
- Build community plans within regional relevant culture verticals, initiating plans and tactics to celebrate communities within their sub-genre
- Execute brand tactics to continually increase reach, awareness, and brand equity
- Oversee and direct the regional product seeding platform to identify UGC content drivers, inform briefs, and strategies to support brand intrigue
- Core focus to be micro communities and culturalists with a following lower than 5k
- Create a pipeline of key calendar events, product support, and noise messages for the region
- Ideate, plan, and execute regional community eventing to align with culture and it’s velocity
- Contribute to Global Community & Culture brainstorms to drive the business forward
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role (Senior Executive, Junior Account Manager, Assistant Manager etc.)
- Immersed in culture and you excel being away from your desk! (at store openings, music events, community events etc.)
- Advanced user of all major social media platforms, understanding capabilities, and evolutions
- Experience planning and managing small scale events
- Solid organizational and time management skills, detail-oriented, and ability to focus and work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work with all levels of staff and management
- Open-minded and inclusive relishes the idea of communicating with audiences of all backgrounds, gender, and personal style
