Job Description:

The Senior Account Executive plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of client accounts, helping to execute impactful PR campaigns while ensuring the smooth running of account administration and reporting. Working closely with other team members, you will support all admin duties across client and agency needs, coverage tracking, media relations activity, content development, event logistics and client servicing across a portfolio of fashion, lifestyle and purpose-driven brands.

This role is for someone looking to build a career in PR and communications, with a passion for storytelling, media engagement and cultural trends. You will be highly organised, proactive and eager to develop your media network while contributing to The Beacon's purpose-driven and collaborative culture.

Main Requirements:

  • Currently operating at a Senior Account Executive level
  • This will be a role across destination, travel and lifestyle clients, experience in these sectors is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and administration skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Passion for media, influencer culture and current trends
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence communicating with journalists, influencers and clients
  • Ability to work proactively and take ownership of tasks
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and media monitoring platforms
  • Experience using media databases and monitoring tools desirable but not essential
  • Strong research skills and willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Key Responsibilities

Client Support & Account Management

  • Take ownership of day-to-day coordination across client accounts, ensuring actions, deadlines and deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Act as a day-to-day client contact, responding confidently to requests and proactively keeping clients updated
  • Support the implementation of PR strategies and campaigns, working closely with senior account leads
  • Prepare client meeting agendas, reports, presentations and status updates to a high standard
  • Take detailed meeting notes, clearly communicate actions and take responsibility for ensuring agreed actions are progressed
  • Manage project timelines, critical paths and account administration systems, flagging risks or challenges early
  • Demonstrate an understanding of client objectives and look for opportunities to add value beyond the immediate brief

Media & Influencer Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers and industry contacts relevant to the client portfolio
  • Take ownership of developing and maintaining targeted media and influencer lists, ensuring contacts are relevant and up to date
  • Proactively lead media outreach across news, features, product placement and campaign activity, adapting approaches to secure the strongest results
  • Draft and distribute compelling pitches, media alerts and press materials with a high level of accuracy and creativity
  • Liaise confidently with journalists and editors, managing opportunities and responding to inbound image, credit and information requests
  • Monitor the media landscape and proactively identify timely news hooks, features and editorial opportunities for clients
  • Keep up to date with journalist moves, emerging titles and changing media trends, sharing relevant intelligence across the team
  • Confidently represent The Beacon and its clients at press meetings, industry events and networking opportunities

Content Development

  • Draft high-quality press releases, media pitches, briefing documents and other PR materials, requiring minimal amends from senior team members
  • Adapt written materials for different audiences, media sectors and campaign objectives
  • Conduct research and develop insights to support pitching, campaign development and client recommendations
  • Contribute fresh, relevant ideas during brainstorms and planning sessions
  • Proactively identify creative angles, cultural moments and emerging trends that could generate opportunities for clients
  • Support the development of campaign concepts, demonstrating an understanding of what will resonate with media and target audiences

Campaign & Event Support

  • Take an active role in the planning and execution of PR campaigns, launches, events and media briefings
  • Own key event workstreams including guest lists, RSVPs, press liaison, supplier coordination and timelines
  • Attend and confidently support events, press previews, launches, interviews, content shoots and influencer activations
  • Coordinate event administration and logistics, identifying and resolving issues proactively
  • Support post-event media follow-up and reporting to maximise results
  • Manage sample stock, gifting, deliveries and courier logistics where required, delegating administrative elements appropriately

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor media, cultural and industry landscapes to identify relevant opportunities, risks and developments for clients
  • Take ownership of media coverage trackers and ensure campaign results are accurately recorded
  • Prepare regular coverage reports, monthly evaluations and campaign updates with clear, useful insights
  • Support the preparation of end-of-campaign reports and presentations, helping demonstrate impact and ROI
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify relevant learnings or opportunities for clients
  • Go beyond reporting results by identifying trends, learnings and recommendations that can inform future activity

Team Contribution

  • Play an active role in maintaining The Beacon's positive, purpose-driven culture
  • Support junior team members with day-to-day tasks, sharing knowledge and providing guidance where appropriate
  • Collaborate across accounts and proactively offer support when colleagues are managing busy periods or deadlines
  • Share media intelligence, journalist updates, cultural insights and opportunities across the wider team
  • Stay informed on PR trends, media developments, emerging platforms and cultural conversations, bringing fresh thinking into the agency
  • Be a positive culture contributor who brings energy, openness and curiosity to the team and helps foster an inclusive, collaborative and enjoyable working environment
