Description:
In this role, you’ll support the SEO manager in implementing the SEO strategy for a growing beauty brand. The majority of this role will include content writing and optimisation, but you will be given technical SEO training so that you can help implement the relevant technical optimisations. We’re a small team, so you’ll need to get involved in a range of tasks to support the needs of the business. This includes everything from blog writing and keyword research to conversion rate optimisation and content audits. We want someone attentive, willing to learn and obsessed with beauty to join the team and help take Cosmetify’s organic growth to the next level!
Role and responsibilities:
- Complete keyword research for the Cosmetify website to support the quarterly SEO strategy. This includes finding keywords for eCommerce landing pages as well as blog posts.
- Perform on-page optimisation by writing blog posts, optimising existing posts, writing metadata and internal linking.
- Support with content audits to develop the SEO content strategy.
- Support the SEO manager in identifying and correcting SEO errors using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, ContentKing and Ahrefs.
- Perform competitor analysis and report on SEO strategies and techniques used by our competitors.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and search engine algorithm updates.
- Support the SEO manager’s technical SEO tasks such as audits and providing developer recommendations.
- Assist in developing link-building strategies and perform regular backlink analysis.
- Perform content audits to check for plagiarism, low word count, keyword stuffing, etc.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and search engine algorithm updates.
- Review off-page SEO success via backlink audits and analysis.
Must have:
- Marketing degree - grade 2:1 or above
- Available to travel to the London office (2 days a week minimum)
- Full-time availability (9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including blog writing, editing, presenting and proofing
- Basic knowledge of best practices for SEO content writing
- Keen interest and knowledge of the latest beauty trends and terminology
- Familiarity with analytics/SEO tools like GA4, Ahrefs, Tag Manager, Google Search Console
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
Nice to have:
- Basic knowledge of technical SEO best practices
- Work experience in the beauty sector
- Interest in UX and CRO
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
Salary and benefits:
- £23,000 to £25,000 depending on experience
