Rosie Swash joins WIRED as Deputy Editor, based in London.

Beginning her career at The Observer before joining The Guardian, Swash reported on culture and rose to Senior News Editor, leading coverage across the Technology, Environment, Science and Health desks.

She went on to report on Afghanistan, Iran and Ukraine for the Guardian’s award-winning Rights and Freedom series, and led The Mystery of Bangladesh’s Missing Children, an investigation into an historic adoption ring. The series was awarded a 2024 Amnesty Media Prize for its “excellence in human rights reporting.”

Swash has most recently been an Editor at subscription news platform Mill Media.
