Ellise Shafer has been promoted from London News Editor to Deputy Editor of International at Variety, a weekly entertainment publication covering film, television, theatre and tech.
Ellise will remain as Variety's main web editor of international content and will help organise the news coverage of major European film festivals including Cannes, Venice and Berlin. She will also continue to produce features and cover stories on up-and-coming UK stars across film, TV and music. Ellise is based in London.
