New York-based brand Tuza Jewelry has announced its launch in the UK and US and appointed Home Studios for international press and communications. Tuza is the creation of Mexican-Lebanese sculptor and jeweller Suzzan Atala who combines an art deco inspired aesthetic with high luxury, hand-crafted pieces produced in collaboration with specialist artisans based in the town of Taxco. Infamous for their mining of silver and other precious metals, Tuza commits to supporting the craft industry in Taxco, Mexico ensuring that the production of the brand is of the highest ethical standard. Tuza’s debut collection features statement pieces crafted with the premium quality sterling silver, rose gold and 14K yellow gold plating. With inspirations from the clean lines of art deco, the pyramids of Teotihuacan and pre Hispanic jewellery, the pieces use monochromic stones to represent a ‘back to basics’ feel that encourages new beginnings and empowers women. Home Studios will support the brand with international communications and creative projects.
