TV chefs Mike Reid and Jeremy Pang have announced the launch of The Two Hungry Chefs, a 26-part podcast series celebrating the A–Z of food, created by Jeremy's production company Curious Crab Productions in partnership with Banijay Rights UK.

The series sees Mike and School of Wok founder Jeremy bring together chefs and food personalities to discuss ingredients, cuisines, cultures and experiences. Working through the alphabet one letter at a time, each episode takes a new letter as the starting point for a story, recipe or food memory.

Central to the series is a mystery ingredient challenge. When a guest joins, they bring their own mystery selection of ingredients for Jeremy and Mike to transform into a dish. When it's just the two hosts, they challenge each other with surprise ingredients.

Series One features Anna Haugh, Adam Handling, Romy Gill, Tim Anderson, Shelina Permalloo and José Pizarro among the guests. Restaurateur Martin Williams and Mel Giedroyc will also appear, with Mel joining for a festive episode.

Mike said: "This series is a real celebration of everything we love about food. We've got brilliant guests, incredible ingredients and unexpected challenges, all exploring what makes food today so exciting. But ultimately, this is a series for everybody, not just chefs or the hospitality world. We want people who enjoy our shows to find it entertaining and accessible, pick up a few tricks along the way and, most importantly, feel inspired to be inventive, get into their own kitchens and give things a go."

Jeremy said: "Food is full of stories, memories and surprises, and working our way from A to Z gives us the perfect excuse to explore them all – and cook some pretty amazing food along the way! Mike and I have very different cooking styles, but we share the same approach of using core techniques to build confidence and creativity in the kitchen. It's a real journey of discovery for anyone interested in food and travel, while offering an insight into how we and our guests have built successful careers around food."
