Betsy Blumenthal (pictured, left), previously Editor at Chase Travel, has been appointed Editor of the 36 Hours column at The New York Times. Betsy helped launch the travel vertical of JPMorganChase in 2023, writing and editing travel guides and developing an annual "Trips to Take" list. She previously spent seven years at Condé Nast Traveler, starting as Assistant Editor and working up to Editor for Features and Editorial Franchises.

Stephen Hiltner (pictured, right) has been promoted to Deputy Editor, Travel at The New York Times. Stephen joined The Times in 2016 from The Paris Review as an Editor on the Insider desk and has been on The New York Times Travel desk since 2019.
