The Jewish Chronicle has announced that it has taken the decision to seek creditors voluntary liquidation. The liquidation is expected to be finalised in the next few weeks. In a statement, the publication said that it would make every effort to ensure the papers' publication over this period and its website's continuation. 

The publication said that "Despite the heroic efforts of the editorial and production team at the newspaper, it has become clear that The Jewish Chronicle will not be able to survive the impact of the current coronavirus epidemic in its current form."
