The i Paper has announced the launch of a version of its flagship newsletter, The Essential, on Substack.

The newsletter will feature the day's top story explained by Editor-in-Chief Oliver Duff, exclusive insight from reporters and writers on their stories and the reporting process, and reader responses on topical issues.
