Quarterly fashion and culture magazine The Face has announced the following editorial changes:
The magazine has also confirmed that Matthew Whitehouse will be departing as Editor-In-Chief, with the Spring 2026 issue being his last. Matthew leaves to take up a new role as Head of Editorial Content and Creative at Farfetch. A new Editor-in-Chief will be announced in the coming months. During his tenure at The Face, Matthew has played a pivotal role in shaping the magazine’s identity following its relaunch in 2019, helping to re-establish the title as a leading voice in global youth culture.
With over five years leading the publication, he stands as the longest serving EIC since the magazine’s founder Nick Logan. Matthew commented, “It has been one of the honours of my life to serve as Editor-in-Chief of this great publication. The Face has always been the best of everything: the best fashion, the best music, the best opinions, the best people. And that’s more true today than ever. It’s been a pleasure to work on the spring issue with the brilliant Jonny and the team, whom I will miss tremendously, as well as bring in the fabulous editors-at-large that will be contributing to the publication in 2026. I’ll be cheering them all on from the sidelines. My sincere thanks to everyone that has supported my work at the publication since its relaunch in 2019.”
Additionally, the magazine has confirmed plans to launch The Face China in 2026. This marks the brand’s first-ever international edition, representing a major milestone in its global expansion. More information will be revealed later this year.
