New York-based Benjamin Sutton has been promoted from Editor-in-Chief, Americas to Global Editor-in-Chief at international monthly art publication The Art Newspaper.

Benjamin joined The Art Newspaper as Editor, Americas in 2021, running the New York office. As Editor-in-Chief, Americas, he managed the editorial team and contributors across North and South America, expanding coverage into Canada and Latin America. He led the execution of the publication's fair dailies at Art Basel Miami Beach, Frieze Los Angeles and Frieze New York, and oversaw the launch of its first bilingual English-Spanish project in Mexico City.

As Global Editor-in-Chief, Benjamin will set and execute the global editorial strategy, expanding coverage and market presence, accelerating digital and multimedia growth, and upholding the publication's standards of accuracy, independence and authority.
