Dazed Media has announced the appointment of Susannah Frankel as editor-in-chief of AnOther Magazine, commencing her role from January 2016. Susannah has been fashion features director of the magazine since its launch in 2001 and a regular contributor to Dazed & Confused since 1998. She joined Grazia in 2012 and is currently fashion director and was previously fashion editor of The Independent from 1999-2012 and The Guardian from 1996-1999. Her first book Visionaries: Interviews With Fashion Designers was published by V&A Publishing in October 2001. Frankel also contributed to the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty monograph, Alexander McQueen: Work In Process by Nick Waplington and exhibition catalogues for Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga, Martin Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Peter Jensen, Hussein Chalayan, Yohji Yamamoto, Future Beauty: Thirty Years of Japanese Fashion and Design in Britain (Big Ideas, Small Island). She is currently working on a book with Stephen Jones due to be published in autumn 2016. Nancy Waters continues in her role as editor of AnOther and Natalie Rigg as editor of anothermag.com.
