Following the news of Hotel Designs’ acquisition of hotel design, architecture magazine SPACE and associated brands last year, the team has announced the following updates to the structure of the editorial team.

Emma Kennedy, Editor at SPACE, will be departing the magazine 30 March, with Jess Miles succeeding Emma after being promoted from Deputy Editor to Editor. Additionally, Pauline de Villiers Brettell has been promoted from Writer to Digital Editor. 

From June 2026, Hotel Designs and SPACE will have a new recruit joining the team full-time, Sienna Shipton, who will be supporting both brands as Assistant Editor.
